Registration Procedures 

To qualify under the QIZ Protocol, the following Registration procedures shall be followed:

♦  To register your company under the QIZ Protocol, please read and follow the following procedures carefully: 

1- Check that the company lies in one of the Qualifying Industrial Zones

2- Fill in the Registration Form* and send to us by email <info@qizegypt.gov.eg> 

  * All information in the form is required in English and Arabic.         

     Please ensure that the name of the company and its address are written correctly 
     as per the official documents. 

3- Send a stamped and signed (from the company Chairman) Request on the company letterhead 

     to join QIZ. "Request Template"

4- Send scanned high resolution PDF copies of supporting documents. 

     The required documents are:

     •  Industrial Register or a Statement from the General Authority for Investment & Free Zones (GAFI) 

     •  Commercial Register 

     •  Tax ID

5- After all submitted documents are revised and complete, you will receive a Confirmation e-mail that
    required documents are complete.

♦   If all required documents for registration are complete, your application will be reviewed for approval in the nearest Joint Committee meeting and you will be notified to receive your company's QIZ certificate. 

♦   When the certificate is issued: You will receive an e-mail to visit our premises and receive QIZ certificate. The registered company is requested to bring a signed and stamped Authorization on the company letterhead to receive the QIZ certificate, including name of the Authorized Person and his ID number + a copy of his ID (front and back). 

QIZ Certificates:

After completing the Registration procedures, all complete applications will be submitted to the Joint Committee for approval. A QIZ certificate (valid for one year) will then be issued and delivered to the beneficiary company, granting its products eligibility to enter the U.S. market duty-free - in accordance with the predefined terms of the QIZ Protocol.

On a quarterly basis, a list of the QIZ qualified companies is submitted the Customs Authorities of both Egypt and the United States of America. These companies are granted eligibility for their products to enter the U.S. market duty-free, in accordance with the predefined terms of the QIZ Protocol.
